On Tuesday July 19. 2007, the committee for planning in Valle started the consultation process for the new zoning plan for Brokke. The zoning plan is the largest in the district. The plan opens for considerable expansions for Brokke as a destination. Look at the top banner for illustrations, or click here to open the picture in a larger format.

Plans for further development of the ski resort
The zoning plan opens for the following development of the ski resort:

• Workshop/garage for machines and equipment
• Chair lift by the existing main T-bar lift
• Lift at the top of the existing ski resort in combinations with a new children's area.
• Restaurant at the top of the existing ski resort
• New lift in "Grasdalen"
• New lift from "Sagebrua" to "Fuåsskaret" with belonging slopes.
• New lift between the "Grasdal lift" and "Furåsskaret"
• New lift from "Sagbrua" to "Rysstadtoppen" with belonging slopes.

In addition to the list above, a new road to the ski resort is going to be built - with a bridge over the river with combines ski and car traffic. The new road continues to the top of the ski resort, where a large public parking lot is to be built. More parking lots for cars and buses are being placed close to the ski resort.

Building areas for cabins, apartments and other accommodations
The new plan consists of five building areas bound to renting, with a total of 510 units (S2, S3, S7, S8 and N2). These areas are located close to the ski resort with ski in/out possibilities. The plan also consists of 3 additional building areas (S10, S13 & S17) bound to limited renting (30 %).

Further on there are 12 building areas arranged for cabins and row cabins. These areas has a maximal capacity of 570 units.

Brokke center
The plan includes the central parts of the building area between the river and the national road (Suleskarvegen). The center is planned wth combined buildings with 3 floors, with business/service in the first floor and apartments/units for rent in the 2. and 3. floor. The apartments have parking spaces in the basement.

On the south side of the river Brokke is planning a sports facility (ice skating, football field).

Roads and parking
A significant element in the new zoning plan is a new public road to the top of the ski resort. There will also be a large public parking lot at the top of the resort in addition to three parking facilities in the center with about 330 parking spaces.
