Yet another winter season has past, and we are now starting preparations for the next season. Read the letter from the CEO, Jan Wojtaszek.

Yet another winter season has past. We can describe the season as two-folded. We had some problems in the start of the season, while the season ended very good.
We got a late start on this years season due to mild weather and little snow. At the same time the opening of the new terrain park was postponed due to considerable delayed parts for the new lift. The late start of the season meant that several events at the ski resort had to be canceled, among these were the Brokke Cup.
In the middle of January we finally got the cold weather we had been waiting for (almost two months late...). We fired up the snow canons, and got some very good days and nights for snow production. We have never before made so much artificial snow as we did this winter. Both the main slope and this years new slope, as well as parts of the terrain park, got filled with quality snow. On January 20. we opened the ski resort for the first time this season. In addition to a lot(!) of artificial snow, we got more than 50 cm om new nature snow the day before opening. This meant that the whole ski resort could open.
The park did unfortunately not open before early in February, but it was worth the wait. The new park turned out to be a success from day one. Next season we will do what ever it takes to get the park ready as soon as possible.
During February and March the weather stabilized, and we gained much of what was lost early in the season. In the winter holiday weeks the ski resort were open every day, and we got visitors from all over the southern part of Norway.
In the first part of the easter holiday the weather was really on our side. This was reflected in visits. In the second part of the holiday we arranged events for both children and adults every day with surprisingly many participants. Among these I would like to mention the children's competition with over 120 participants. I want to thank everyone who contributed making this a joyful easter worth remembering!
We had 30 % more visitors this easter compared to last year. We are very happy that more and more people are discovering Brokke, and we are looking forward to future seasons.
The investments made this season, among these a new terrain park, a new lift and a new slope, was very successful. We have received many positive comments on the new changes to the ski resort.
The weekend after easter we held the official season ending with excellent conditions in the slopes and beautiful weather. There is still a lot of snow in the slopes (23. april), so it almost a little sad to end the season.
