The Setesdal is a baserock climbing area with great friction -, wall - and crevice climbing in surroundings of splendid beauty.
Welcome to one of the loveliest and most diverse climbing areas of Norway!
From classic 3-hook sweatwipers to 18 rope lengths' heavenly ascents. From technical friction climbing on compact granite to grippy overhangs of professional caliber. From the uncountable to-be first ascents out there, to safe family climbing in the Plaisir sector.
Status quo spring 2009: Over 300 routes of most every grade, described and illustrated with images in the Panico Climbing Guide for Setesdal and on Kletterninnorwegen.de. Most routes are fitted with double bolted stands, but there are also numerous clean-routes.
The routes have been developed by the german climbing guru Hans Weninger & Co and are regularly assessed and bolts replaced if necessary.
The german climbing-travel organisation Hanserocks offers group travels to Brokke.
